Tucson Foodie’s “Monday Munchies” articles are brought to you by NatureMed.

There’s a lot to consider while perusing the menu at any of Serial Grillers’ locations. When it comes to curing an intense case of the munchies, just about everything on-hand at the restaurants will settle the grumbles in your stomach, but one cheesesteak sandwich that tends to stand out is the Kalifornia V2.

This meal is practically a California Burrito on a bun. Named after the thriller “Kalifornia,” starring Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis, the cheesesteak sandwich is loaded with sirloin that’s been topped with French fries, cheddar cheese, avocado, pico de gallo, and chipotle mayonnaise.

Foodie Tip: Get on your cozy, stretchy pants before devouring this sandwich. This foodie fiesta in your stomach will likely lead to a similarly enjoyable siesta. Plus, Serial Grillers’ northwest side location on Ina Road is a short drive away from the Nature Med Dispensary. Plan accordingly and your Monday Munchies session will be in pretty good shape.

The Kalifornia V2 is just one of nearly 10 cheesesteak sandwiches available at Serial Grillers — all of which come with your choice of carrots, chips, coleslaw, or potato salad.

Back in August 2022, the creative minds behind Serial Grillers celebrated the restaurant’s 10th anniversary. Travis and William Miller first started grilling up their “killer food” out of a food truck in 2012 (naming all of the menu items after serial killers and horror films).

Today, the duo owns multiple Serial Griller locations that are open daily from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Other concepts the Miller’s have brought to Tucson include Toro Loco Tacos, Transplant Pizza, and Craft, A Modern Drinkery.

Serial Grillers is located at 5975 E. Speedway Blvd., 1970 E. River Rd. #100, 7585 S. Houghton Rd., and 5660 W. Cortaro Farms Rd. #100. For more information, visit serialgrillersaz.com.
