A lot has happened today in the local beer community.
Iron John’s Brewing has set a grand opening date for its new Broadway location. Dillinger Brewing announced that they’ve sold the brewery to another local business in Tucson. Now, we officially know who bought Dillinger Brewing.
The Serial Grillers Restaurant Group, which also owns Transplant Pizza and Craft, A Modern Drinkery, announced that they’re taking over Dillinger Brewing as Mosaic Brewing Company.
The name will sound familiar if you regularly visit Craft and Transplant Pizza near Speedway Boulevard and Swan Road. They’ve had a few of the beers on tap there for a few months now and were using Dillinger Brewing’s facilities to brew it — it’s been a 10-month collaboration, as a matter of fact.
Dillinger Brewing’s last day is Tuesday, October 31 (you can read all about it here), and Mosaic Brewing will keep the taps pourin’ on Wednesday, November.

The opportunity to acquire Dillinger Brewing Company was too good to pass up, and it allowed us to bring our passion for craft brewing to the next level. We can’t wait to share this exciting journey with all of you!
“Come November, the Dillinger location on Oracle will reopen its doors under the name Mosaic Brewing Co. We’re beyond excited to host each and every one of you to show you what we’ve been diligently working on. Get ready for a new chapter in our culinary and brewing adventure, and we can’t wait to raise a glass with you!”
Stay tuned for more information about the Dillinger Brewing location on Fourth Avenue and when that location will reopen. Meanwhile, keep up with Dillinger Brewing because they’ll be announcing a final farewell party before the end of the month.
Also, if you’d like to try Mosaic Brewing’s brew before Wednesday, November 1, they have them on tap at Craft at 4603 E. Speedway Blvd. Currently, they have an amber, blonde, blueberry wheat, cherry sour, hazy IPA, and a double IPA.
