Back in August of this year, Pearly Bottle Shop, formerly known as Pearly Baker Fermentables, reopened in its original location at 64 E. Broadway Blvd., which is right next to Penca.

Now, next year is shaping up to be a big one for Pearly Bottle Shop. First, they’re going to relaunch the popular wine club in January 2024, host weekly tastings (they’ve already started doing that), and then host a small event every month with wine distributors.

“Our wine club is going to focus on a different wine region throughout the month with a focus on sustainable and natural wine-making processes,” said Annmarie Pryor of Pearly Bottle Shop. “It will cost $50 for two bottles of wine each month. We’ll do wine pick up the first week of each month.”

During that first week of the month, they’ll highlight bottles from different regions for tastings at the shop for Wine Club members. Plus, you’ll get 10% off anything at pick-up and 5% off the rest of the week. Sign-ups

“It’s a fun treat to look forward to after the holidays,” Pryor added. “It also makes a unique Christmas present for wine lovers!”

When it comes to the events happening at the bottle shop, most of the information can be found by following them on Instagram. They’ll share all of the details online, including information about cheese pairing events — they’re planning on hosting at least one a month (usually a Wednesday, mid-month).

However, if you want to walk into the bottle shop for a tasting without becoming a member, everyone’s welcome as long as you’re at least 21 years old.

“Almost every day of the week we’re pouring something to be tasted and playing some fun records while we’re at it,” said Pryor.
