Delicious food, hand crafted cocktails, heroes, shopping and burlesque dancing. Individually, all of these things are good. But together, they might amount to one of your most memorable evenings.
Celebrate everyday heroes Sunday, October 2 from 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. for YWCA of Southern Arizona’s 3rd annual POP! Fundraiser, an evening of fun, food and fashion.
The proceeds from POP! support nearly 2,000 women who participate in YW programs annually to get equipped and empowered to start a business, get a job or advance in their careers. A whopping 60 percent of the women in the YW programs are survivors of domestic violence.
Emceed by Tucson’s Blackcat, Aija Simone of IBT’s, POP! has a little of everything, such as DJ Lana, burlesque, a silent auction, a pop-up shop of local women artisans, a photo booth, tasty bites from local women-owned restaurants, cocktails shaken by local women bartenders and a fashion show put on by Buffalo Exchange, with all of the dresses on the runway going up for auction after the show.

The theme, “Where Heroes Meet,” is to encourage guests to wear their favorite superhero costume. Tickets are $45 for a single and $80 for a couple (or $25 for students) and include two drink tickets, mouthwatering eats from the fantastic lineup of vendors, entrance to all entertainment venues and free valet parking!
