If you’re looking to take your bacon infatuation to the next level, mark May 16 on your calendar. The Third Annual Arizona Bacon Fest is bringing over 60 local and national restaurants, distilleries, and breweries to Kino Stadium.

A pretty large handful will be representing Tucson, including Agustin Kitchen, Barrio Brewing and Union Public House.

For $40, you’ll get to try unlimited “bacon masterpieces” from each booth, craft beer samples from local breweries, and experience a wealth of knowledge on how best to pair your bacon and beer.

Bacon Fest expects to draw 3,500 attendees with live bands, interactive challenges, merchandise booths, motorcycle show, costume contest, and VIP bacon service. An unidentified panel of celebrity judges (Editor’s Note: Actually, we know of one, wink wink) will crown one bacon creation “Best in Show”.

Local Bacon Fest 2015 Vendors include:

  • Agustin Kitchen
  • Barrio Brewing
  • Elliott’s On Congress
  • Hub Restaurant & Creamery
  • Las Margaritas
  • Lindy’s On 4th
  • Mama’s Hawaiian Bar-B-Que
  • Union Public House

Ticket sales benefit Sun Sounds of Arizona and La Frontera of Arizona.

The event is 21+ with good reason. Expect a big crowd, a lot of noise, plenty of booze, and, of course, more bacon than any one person should see in a day. No vegetarian options, no turkey bacon, just plenty of pork belly. Sound like a dream come true?

Tickets are available on the Arizona Bacon Fest website.
