Tumerico, the health-focused caterer, food cart, and farmers market stand, is opening a brick and mortar restaurant at 2526 E. 6th St.

The grand opening day is scheduled for 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 12.

“I will have all Tumerico prepacked ready-to-eat meals for those in a hurry to just grab and go,” said owner and chef Wendy Garcia. “And for those who want something totally made from scratch, there will be a few tables waiting.”

The restaurant will highlight ingredients from the Rillito Park Farmers Market and the Thursday Farmers Market at Mercado San Agustin. They’ll also serve local coffee from Exo Roast Co., Yellow Brick Coffee, and Presta Coffee Roasters.

“I’m planning on keeping the vegan-vegetarian gluten-free concept, as I love being creative and using ingredients,” Garcia said.

Tumerico’s loyal farmers market customers don’t need to worry, as Garcia will continue running her existing operations.
