In collaboration with Copenhagen Imports and the creative minds of some of Tucson’s best chefs, comes the very first and one-of-a-kind Art of Plating from 6 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 27.
Spread throughout the store, the event features 10 separate chef stations where the plating will take place. Guests will be able to sample small versions of each dish, and vote for their favorite in the People’s Choice award. A judges’ area will also be available for viewing dishes, taking pictures, and for the three judges to make their selections for best plating.
Taking place inside the beautiful Copenhagen Furniture Store on Ft. Lowell — home to Tucson’s finest modern furniture for over three decades — guests will be treated to a variety of fine wines, artfully plated dishes, live music by the Zenith String Quartet, as well as have an opportunity to win an Ekornes of Norway Stressless Recliner & Ottoman ($4,079 value). All general admission attendees will receive a raffle ticket for the recliner and ottoman combo, while VIP ticket holders will receive two raffle tickets.

But possibly the most valuable of all is seeing how each participating chef chooses to craft their artfully plated dishes as you explore their stations around the store. When you feel you’ve tasted the dish that’s really struck your fancy, both tastefully and aesthetically, make sure to submit your vote so that it comes out on top.
Aside from the People’s Choice award given by the guests, three professional judges will be selecting their favorites, as well. Guests will have access to view (and of course, taste) what they’re sampling and take photos of the plated dishes, too.
Unlike some food events, tickets are limited to 220, so there’s less wait times in line along with an abundant amount of food and drinks available to all.
General admission tickets are $75 per person and $125 for the VIP admission. A portion of proceeds will benefit Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP).
A special thanks to Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and HF Coors for providing plateware.
The Copenhagen furniture store is located at 3660 E. Fort Lowell Rd. For more information, visit the Facebook event page or eventbrite.com to purchase your tickets.
