It’s an incredible feeling to receive something from someone, but then it’s perhaps more fulfilling to give back to those who desire it even more.

The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona and 94.9 MIXfm are inviting everyone to help get its Holiday Harvest Food Drive rollin’ from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 18.

Volunteers will be collecting non-perishable food and monetary donations from throughout the day at Sams Club on 4701 N. Stone Ave — the location near the Tucson Mall.

Plus, on-air personalities at 94.9 MIXfm, with the added support from 96.1 KLPX, Rock102.1, and 104.9/1490AM ESPN Tucson will be on location, chit-chatting about the event. There’s also work that you’ll be able to snag a photo with the Community Food Bank’s representative, Tom the Turkey.

You may be thinking to yourself, “Oh, I won’t be able to make it out there from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. and donate non-perishable goods.” That’s totally fine because you can make a donation online. Tucson Electric Power has even offered to match the monetary donations this year.

The Holiday Harvest Food Drive will be happening at Sam’s Club on 4701 N. Stone Ave. For monetary donations, visit communityfoodbank.org or text “HarvestFD” to 76278.
