Perhaps you’ve visited or heard of these innovative food truck concepts in other cities, and now Tucson is getting one of its own, too.
It’s called Comida Park and it’s exactly what it sounds like — a wonderland for those with an appetite and love for local bites. The food truck park is coming to the Tanque Verde Swap Meet at 4100 S. Palo Verde Rd. by the summer of 2022.
The Denver-based United Flea Markets (UFM), which is the owner of one of the largest collections of flea markets in the country, is the company behind Comida Park.
“We are thrilled to be opening Comida Park at Tanque Verde Swap Meet this summer,” said Rob Sieban, President, CEO, and co-owner of United Flea Markets. “The addition of Comida Park will be the perfect complement to the already lively evening vibes at Tanque Verde.”
The new food truck park will fit nicely next to the Tanque Verde Swap Meet. Comida Park estimates that it’ll have up to 40 food trucks from around the Arizona region, and hopes to serve as a new gathering place for folks munchin’ down on their meals.
Of course, you’re welcome to take your food wherever you’d like to enjoy it, but there will also be on-site seating accompanied by live entertainment as well.
“Guests can shop, then grab some of their favorite food and beverages from the food trucks, enjoy some music and connect with the community all in one location,” said Sieban.
For anyone interested in grabbing a spot at the park, you can apply now online. United Flea Markets is planning on opening sometime this summer, so keep an eye out for any updates as the year creeps closer to the season.
Comida Park will be located at the Tanque Verde Swap Meet, 4100 S. Palo Verde Rd. For more information, visit comidapark.com or follow Comida Park on Facebook.
