Taco Tuesday during Arizona Beer Week

Holy moly, there’s been a lot brewing throughout Tucson this year during Arizona Beer Week, and if you’ve yet to visit a local craft beer spot in the past few days it’s not too late. The annual celebration is happening until Sunday, February 27 and new beer-themed events seem to be popping up every day.

There is even a downtown scavenger hunt goin’ on at the moment, but if you travel westbound, you’ll find an event that’s both thirst-quenching and a cure for tummy-grumblin’.

1912 Brewing Company and Daniela’s Cooking food truck have teamed up for Taco Tuesday, creating beer-infused tacos from 4 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22.

So, what’s the “beer taco” on the menu for the day? It’s Pork Carnitas that’s been infused with 1912 Brewing’s El Chente Mexican Lager.

The menu at Daniela’s Cooking is an infusion in itself — combining American cuisine with Mexican flavors. In addition to numerous tacos, like Pork Adobado, Nana Logo (ground beef), Vegan Bean, Shrimp Tempura, Fried Avocado, the food truck serves up wings, burgers, burritos, Bacon Ranch Fries, and more.

Additionally, being that it’s Arizona Beer Week, 1912 Brewing recently released its Lupilo Malvado Hazy IPA, which is a collaboration with Wicked Monkey Brewing Company — a new microbrewery in Marana. Grab a pint of it while it’s available.
