Renee's Tucson

Renee's Tucson leans into local ingredients with two featured dishes this week. The Papas Con Queso Pizza and the Arizona Meatballs, served with jalapeño Sonoran cream and focaccia, both use local flour, local beef, and local flavor. The bar also pours two Sonoran-inspired cocktails: the Miel Di Vida, made with TEAquila, cherry, and lemon with a honey and chiltepin sugar rim, and the Desert Dweller, a prickly pear lemonade with lime and a choice of Chopin Vodka, Nikka Gin, or Blanco Organic Chamucos Tequila. An all-Arizona beer list rounds out the drink menu.

Redbird Scratch Kitchen + Bar

Redbird runs Taco and Tequila Tuesdays throughout the week, offering three street tacos for $12, margaritas for $7, Redbird shots for $4, and you-call-it tequila drinks for $2.

Prizes

This week's prize pool includes:

  • Tickets to the Salsa, Taco, and Tequila Challenge

  • Two $100 Visa gift cards

  • $20 gift card to Ghini's

  • Four-pack of passes to Cool Summer Nights at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

  • Gift card to Redbird Scratch Kitchen + Bar

  • $50 gift card to Charro Concepts

  • $50 gift card to BATA

  • $50 gift card to Sonoran Moonshine

How to participate in Sonoran Week

Snap a photo of a qualifying receipt from a participating Sonoran Week venue, then upload it at summer.tucsonfoodie.com. Each receipt earns an entry for that week's prizes and rolls over into the grand prize pool.

To find participating venues, view the full schedule, and upload receipts, visit summer.tucsonfoodie.com.

What comes next: Sonoran Restaurant Week

The summer campaign may be wrapping up, but Tucson's dining calendar stays full. Sonoran Restaurant Week returns Sept. 4 through 13, with participating kitchens serving prix-fixe menus priced at $15, $25, $35, $45, or $55, each at least 20% below regular menu cost. No pass or coupon is required. Ask for the Restaurant Week menu when you sit down.

Reservations are not required, but ten days of full dining rooms make booking ahead a smart move. Visit tucsonfoodie.com/srw to browse participating restaurants and reserve a table.
