This week finds us with an egg-cellent array of events ranging from Bawker Bawker’s two-year anniversary to a Green Chile Fest at The Meading Room in Sonoita, and everything in between. Apple Annie’s is hosting an event that is sure to make you feel like fall is right around the corner (because it is) and if fall-ing isn’t your thing, then skip on down to the Kino Sports Complex for the Community Food Bank’s HungerWalk.

BAWKER BAWKER 2-YEAR ANNIVERSARY, 5-DAY CELEBRATION

The good folks at Bawker Bawker Cider House have put together a five-day anniversary celebration featuring two trivia nights, special cider releases, and collaborative cider pairings with a couple of local Tucson eateries. The festivities are already underway, but you have plenty of time to stop in and raise a glass to this locally owned cidery that’s become a Fourth Avenue fixture. Don’t wait too long, the cluck is ticking!

HUNGERWALK 2022

Grab your running shoes, HungerWalk is this weekend. This event brings together families, friends, and community members to walk, raise awareness, and funds to end hunger. This is a fun event for all ages and features music, entertainment, healthy snacks, games, activities, and more.
The 1-mile stroll begins at 8 a.m. at the Kino Sports Complex, the Historic Canoa Ranch, or remotely.

APPLE ANNIE’S TASTE OF FALL WEEKEND

Move over pumpkin spice, apple is taking over this weekend!
Experience an all-new experience at Apple Annie’s “Taste of Fall Weekend.” You won’t want to miss fall treats exclusive to the weekend: apple cider slushie floats, apple nachos, cider donut sundaes, salted caramel topped apple pie by the slice, apple cinnamon pancake breakfast, and grilled apple burgers lunches.
When you are done eating, take a walk through the orchards and pick your own apples. Then head to the farm for the last weekend of roasted sweet corn. Make sure you floss, it’ll be a sweet weekend.

Prickly Pear JAMboree is a daylong event celebrating the Vail and Corona de Tucson communities and everything prickly pear. There will be a parade, classic car show, corn hole showdown, and prickly pear block party with great food, local vendors, and tons more.

AZ Hops & Vines is hosting their 11th annual Great Crush Festival and The Meading Room is putting on their Green Chile Festival. My suggestion? Since they’re next-door neighbors, make a day of it and hit up both. Enjoy cooler weather, gorgeous views, and a good time to be had by all, including the furry family members.
At AZ Hops & Vines, there will be live music, food, wine, and grape stomping. At The Meading Room, they’ll be going all out with live music by Santa Pachita, food from Moncho’s Food Truck, Queen Ceviche, Crush Gourmet Raspados, and Fork U BBQ. They’ll be stocked up on those frozen green chile margaritas with Tajin y chamoy.
