Blush, a brand-new restaurant concept on Fourth Avenue, is set to officially open its doors on Friday, August 18.
The team behind Blush created the new spot with college kids in mind, aiming to transport its guests back in time with a unique blend of a “1950s and 1990s old-school vibe.” Located at 340 N. Fourth Ave., which is the former Arte Bella spot, owner Jonathan Homan hopes the restaurant will stand out with its retro-inspired décor, transporting guests to a bygone era.
From the moment you step inside, you’ll be surrounded by vintage memorabilia, neon lights, and nostalgic music. Homan has meticulously crafted Blush to embody a “flirty and fun atmosphere” — a combination he’s excited to share with the regular Fourth Avenue crowd and beyond.
“We wanted to create a dining experience that combines great food, vibrant atmosphere, and a sense of nostalgia,” said Homan. “Blush is a place where college kids can come and enjoy themselves while reliving the iconic eras of the 1950s and 1990s.”
Blush’s menu is a celebration of classic comfort food with a modern twist.
The current dishes are being referred to as “hotel food,” meaning that they’ll offer a selection of dishes such as “the juiciest cheeseburger in town,” a classic club sandwich, deviled eggs with a unique twist, chopped salads, perfectly crispy fries with a variety of sauces, nostalgic pigs in a blanket, and an array of ice cream sundaes and floats.
“We are excited to be a part of the Tucson community and look forward to providing a fun and memorable experience for our guests,” said Homan.
Plus, there’s going to be plenty of cocktails to choose from and even some spritz drinks crafted by the talented mixologists behind the bar.
One of the standout features of Blush is its spacious back room, aptly named Blush After Dark.
“This versatile space can accommodate a large crowd of people and is equipped with a state-of-the-art DJ booth, a live music stage, and cutting-edge lighting,” said Homan. “Blush After Dark is set to become a prime destination for those seeking an unforgettable night of entertainment and dancing in Tucson.”
The grand opening date is currently Friday, August 18 — the perfect day of the week to kick things off. Also, the opening is happening just in time for returning college students.
