La Botana is Relocating to Wetmore Road & First Avenue

"We can't wait to welcome you to our fresh digs."

For years now, folks have been flocking to the corner of First Avenue and Fort Lowell Road for margaritas, micheladas, and more at La Botana. Pretty soon, you’ll just have to scurry over to a different corner of First Avenue.

The Mexican food restaurant and popular Happy Hour spot is relocating into the building at 565 E. Wetmore Rd. (sometime in early 2024). It’s actually a former Applebee’s restaurant so this means they’ll have a good amount of space for hungry eaters.

La Botana shared the following about the news:

“We’re on the move, but our love for authentic Mexican flavors is staying put! After more than a decade of serving up mouthwatering dishes and our famous margaritas at our flagship location on First and Fort Lowell, we’re excited to announce that La Botana Tacos is relocating. Stay tuned for details on our grand re-opening event at our new location. We can’t wait to welcome you to our fresh digs and continue serving you the flavors you know and love.”

Therefore, the current location on Fort Lowell Road is still open until the new location is ready to go — they’re aiming to open on Wetmore Road early next year. However, the menu and the grande margaritas are the real deal and worth the wait. In fact, you’ll need both hands to pick one up.

La Botana will be reopening at 565 E Wetmore Rd. in the near future. To keep up with the latest, follow La Botana on Instagram and visit labotanatacos.com.
