Austrian Wine Dinner With Circo Vino & The Coronet (MENU)

A one-of-a-kind wine dinner is happening from 5 – 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 18!

Sariya Jarasviroj of Circo Vino is teaming up with The Coronet, 198 W. Cushing St., for a multi-course pairing featuring Austrian Wines.

Each course will be guided by Jarasviroj of Circo Vino. The local fine wine importer focuses on unique terroirs and wines crafted by winemakers who want to demonstrate a sense of place and a singularity of style.

Seats at the table are $60 per person, which includes three courses paired with wine. If you’re only interested in the wine tasting, it’s $20 per person. You can reserve your spot online.

First Course
  • Smoked Poblano & Elote Soup – grilled corn, queso Oaxaca crouton, coriander creme fraiche, microgreens
  • Paired with Hajszanneumann (2021)
Second Course
  • Venison Pate – house jam, whole grain mustard, Barrio pan au levain
  • Paired with Weingut Gunter & Regina Triebaumer (2021)
Third Course
  • Wild Boar Birria Bucatini – local Ceres pasta, queso Oaxacav frico, green chili sauce, masa and chili threads
  • Paired with Hajszanneumann (2020)

At a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.

He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.
