After a few years of expanding its already expansive menu, local Mexican sushi restaurant Sushi-Kito continues to grow.

Owner Carlos Chavez and the team at Sushi-Kito are opening a brand-new location in midtown Tucson at 4380 E. Speedway Blvd. They’re aiming to welcome everyone in by Friday, August 9.

This is the space right next to The Kava Bar on Speedway Boulevard between Columbus Boulevard and Swan Road.

In the words of local foodie Mark Whittaker, Sushi Kito’s menu is “as big as a Tolstoy novel.” Expect to find a heap of Mexican sushi, traditional sushi, fish dishes, soups, seafood cocktails, and pasta on the menu.

The restaurant also offers a variety of options for the kiddos, burgers and fries, tortas and sandwiches, a few basic desserts, and Mexican soft drinks.

If this is your first time hearing of the restaurant, mark your calendars for the Grand Opening of the Speedway Boulevard location.

Or, head over to the south side location pronto (5650 S. 12th Ave. #180). The south side spot is fun for the entire family — we’re talkin’ about a full-on arcade. They have old-school arcade games, new cabinet-style video games, sit-down interactive 3D experiences, and even rides for kids.

With the wide variety of dishes at Sushi-Kito, it might take a few visits to find your favorite, even if you enjoy the first dish you try.
