Where to Eat During the 2024 Chinese Chorizo Festival

by Matt SternerOct 15, 20242 min read
The third annual Chinese Chorizo Festival (CCF) is happening now until Sunday, November 20. This year’s festivities will include one-of-a-kind dishes, cocktails, and cultural programming at multiple locations. More than 25 participating restaurants and food vendors will be showcasing the overlooked story of Mexican and Chinese immigrant solidarity through the revival of the Chinese chorizo. Up to 30 pounds of Chinese chorizo (15 pounds of vegan mushroom-based and 15 pounds of pork-based) will be distributed to each of the participating restaurants. For a full list of every Chinese Chorizo Festival event, read more about it here. For more information, visit chinesechorizoproject.com and follow the Chinese Chorizo Project on Instagram.

@Lovinspoonfulstucson is closing after more than 20 years in Tucson. Its final day of service runs on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Customers can stop in between now and Saturday for one last meal. The team plans to sell down its inventory, though it hopes to have favorite dishes available. Regular hours remain 9am-3pm through the final day.

“Running this kitchen has been a labor of love, but the numbers just aren’t adding up anymore, and as parents, we have to make the hard choice to step back and take care of what matters most at home.”
