Across the street from the Tucson Museum of Art lies Café à La C’Art — a cozy cafe with satisfying bites. Just a few years ago, the restaurant was listed as one of the top 10 museum restaurants in the U.S. by Food & Wine magazine.
If you’ve yet to stop by and eat, whether it be at a table in the spacious dining room or the beautiful patio, perhaps it’d be wise to stop by this summer. And, with the upcoming changes in the season comes a new set of hours.

Beginning on Wednesday, May 31, Café à La C’Art will be open 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Wednesday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday – Sunday, and closed Monday – Tuesday.
The menu has a wide range of classic breakfast and lunch dishes, and also a few Brunch Specialties to choose from. Some of the brunch bites include Chilaquiles, Salmon Cake Benedict, Southwestern Avocado Toast, and a Market Skillet, which is rosemary potatoes topped with two eggs, caramelized onions, avocado, zucchini, red peppers, parmesan, and feta.
If you’re looking for something simple and nostalgic, order a short or full stack of pancakes.
Fun Times at Café à La C’Art
Sure, the restaurant is closing a little earlier in the day this summer but, on occasion, they’ll be hosting events like the Wester Tipsy Tea Party on Sunday, June 25.
The afternoon cocktail tea party will be offering two seatings at 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. and admission is $60 per person. Your ticket includes three courses of delicious bites paired with three cocktails.

Matt Sterner
More about MattAt a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.
He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.
If you’re in the mood for strange stories, head over to his pride and joy, wonkytimes.com. And in case you’re curious — yes, after all of this time, he still manages to roll a killer burrito.
