The annual Tucson Meet Yourself is taking over parts of downtown for a weekend of fun from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Friday, October 7 – Saturday, October 8, and then 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 9.

There’s going to be more than 100 artists and performing groups sharing music, dance, and their crafts. The artists will be spread all around so come equipped with your walkin’ shoes and take a glance at the performance schedule to plan accordingly.

Brewin at the Chul

Come enjoy Tohono Chul’s first-ever autumn series, Brewin at the Chul, located at The Garden Bistro. Join them on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 – 9 p.m. for music, refreshing spirits, local brews, and a rotating menu of tasty bites.

EEGEE PALOOZA WITH CHE WEST

Eegee’s will be collaborating with Tortillas by Che West for eegeepalooza at the Irvington I-19 location. Che started tacopalooza a couple of years back and it has been a hit every time. This Saturday from 4-7 p.m. you can get his famous tacos with a side of fries and an eeege.

He’ll be cooking up something special:

  • Two chicken tacos with maple sriracha sauce
  • Medium seasoned fries
  • Small Scary Berry eegee with Tajín and chamoy

On the menu of three different ways with three unique salsas:

  • Taco: Warm corn tortillas, carne asada, avocado, lime juice, sea salt, and salsa
  • Lorenza: Corn tortillas grilled crispy like a tostada, cheese, carne asada, lime, avocado, and salsa
  • Caramelo: Flour tortillas and cheese (think quesadilla), carne asada, lime, avocado, and salsa

Cost: $75.

José Contreras, chef and owner of @Ameliastucson, is headed to New York City to cook alongside chef Alam Méndez of Washington, D.C.‘s Apapacho Taqueria for a collaborative dinner at the James Beard Foundation’s Platform at Pier 57.

The Aug. 11 dinner will celebrate the culinary traditions of Sonora and Oaxaca through a multi course menu centered on heirloom corn, traditional masa, and coastal flavors. Guests will also enjoy a cocktail reception, Mijenta Tequila pairings, and a Q&A with both chefs. The event begins at 6:30 pm at @Pier57.nyc. Although El Conquistador licenses the Hilton brand, it’s owned and operated by a local company. The culinary team sources much of its meat and produce from Arizona. 

Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or just looking for an incredible dinner with Catalina Mountain views, this spot is worth adding to your list. 🌵🌞
