If there is one thing Tucson excels at, it is creating opportunities to drink for a good cause. This time around, Tucson Hop Shop and local non-profit Beads of Courage are responsible for the feel-good festivities.
On Saturday, January 9, from 1 to 5pm, welcome New Belgium Brewing’s latest seasonal brew at Tucson Hop Shop while supporting children that are fighting serious illnesses.
The new release, titled Citradelic Tangerine IPA, is made with Citra hops, tangerines, oranges, and orange peels. While you sip, put your crafting skills to work and create a Citradelic Courage clip for a $5 donation to this incredibly important non-profit, or sponsor a bead to give to a child. Or, just get your drink on and stay away from the craft supplies, as $1 from each pint of Citradelic sold will be donated to Beads of Courage by Tucson Hop Shop, and then will be matched by New Belgium.
When the munchies kick in, POPPED Artisan Popcorn will be there with a limited release flavor of their locally-made craft popcorn. Beads of Courage will receive $1 from each bag of popcorn sold.
Beads of Courage has been working to “transform the treatment experience for children coping with chronic, life threatening illness through [their] arts-in-medicine programs” for 11 years.
