The Arizona Wine Growers Association is bringing back the annual Off the Vine Arizona Wine Festival to Steam Pump Ranch in Oro Valley from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 16.
From the moment German immigrants arrived — in 1874 — and created a state-of-the-art water pump, they transformed the dry landscape into an oasis. Steam Pump Ranch’s history has run deep throughout the Santa Cruz Valley ever since.
It’s quite the backdrop for over 20 vineyards and wineries, food vendors, arts and crafts, and live music.
“We are expecting record-breaking numbers at this year’s event, where wineries will be coming from across the state to pour their best wines,” said Barb Coons, president of the Arizona Wine Growers Association and owner of Four Tails Vineyard.
It’s a great opportunity to interact with the participating winemakers, pick their brain about the history of their wine, learn how it’s made, and taste what sets it apart.
Tickets are $20 per person, which includes eight tastings and a commemorative glass. However, the price of admission goes up to $30 on the day of the event.
