Last month, we opened up our exclusive R&D Dinner to everyone and we had such a great time getting to know you that we decided to do it again!
Next week at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, you’re in for a special treat because even though HUB Restaurant & Ice Creamery is still closed for renovations, we’ll get to taste dishes from their new menu on Playground’s rooftop.

You’ll enjoy brand-new dishes and provide feedback to Chef Omar Huerta and his team.
Tickets are just $65 and include one free month of the Tucson Foodie Insiders membership! Plus, there’s a $40 wine-pairing add-on if you’re feeling saucy.
NOTE: There is a non-refundable $5 fee to secure your spot; all other payments will be processed at the restaurant on the day of.
With a pleasant 75-degree evening ahead, the election behind us, and dinner is taken care of, here’s what you can look forward to:
R&D DINNER MENU
- Brie – with orange calabrian marmalade, figs, arugula, focaccia
- Spinach Pear Salad – with pecan brittle, white balsamic, goat cheese
- Three Cheese Tortelloni – with pomodoro basil
- Red Wine-Braised Short Rib – with horseradish mashed potatoes, roasted butternut squash
- Apple Pie Pop Tart – with salted caramel ice cream

In May, we announced that HUB, located at 266 E. Congress St., would be operating out of Playground, 278 E. Congress St.
