Sazerac Creole Kitchen & Cocktails in St. Philip’s Plaza is closing on December 24 after having been open for just shy of a year.
The Sazerac Creole Kitchen & Cocktails Facebook page announced the following on Wednesday night:
JAM Culinary Concepts — the same organization behind Vero Amore, Noble Hops, the Still — opened Sazerac on January 16 earlier this year.
Suzanne Kaiser, who owns JAM with her sons Josh and Aric Mussman, emailed the following additional details:
“Grant Krueger and Steve Stratigouleas are taking over the space to open an exciting new restaurant concept. By owning all 3, Union, Reforma and their new space, they will be able build a stage and operate the entire courtyard as one licensed liquor premise for concerts and other events. This will be the first venue of its kind in Tucson and it promises to be a big hit!”
“We’re excited for the opportunity and still exploring options for the space,” said Steve Stratigouleas, owner-operator of Union Public House and Reforma. “This gives us full use of the courtyard for special events for the community.”
Sazerac may reopen in another location, but where has yet to be determined, Kaiser said. Catering is still available from Sazerac, as the executive chef and sous chef are now working at Vero Amore.
