With craft beer on the mind, Mama Louisa’s Italian Restaurant is throwing down another four-course dinner from 6 – 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28.
This time, Sentinel Peak Brewing Company is joining in on the fun by providing a different beer paired with each course.
Mama Louisa’s is known for its home-style classics such as Joe’s Special and Eggplant Parmesan.
Although, chef Michael Elefante’s background at the Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain prepared him to create elegant modern dishes for multi-course meals, much like this one.
Seats are $40 per person, and an appetite is definitely required for this match made in culinary heaven.

First Course
- Winter Greens – space oranges, pomegranate, beets, pine nuts, pickled pecorino
- Paired with the Blood Orange Ale
Second Course
- “Hopsta” (hop pasta) – quail, Sicilian chimichurri, cipollini, hay root vegetables
- Paired with the Salida Del Sol
Third Course
- Kalbi Ribs – curry sweet potato gratin, broccoli rabe, and pickled vegetables
- Paired with the Ice Break IPA
Fourth Course
- Oatmeal stout and spent grain bread pudding – white chocolate, banana,and spice anglaise
- Paired with the Hefeweizen

More about MattAt a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.
