Much like the incredibly stylish mullet hairstyle being business in the front and a party in the back, The Neighborhood’s downtown spot is more than one concept. Think of it as a restaurant and bar during the earlier hours of the day and a total party by night.
The Neighborhood’s second location has taken over the former H2O Discotec spot at 61 E. Congress St., and after weeks of hosting soft openings, the crew is ready for its official Grand Opening.
On Saturday, September 3, The Neighborhood DWTN will be giving away free burgers to each person that comes in from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
As mentioned earlier, this location is a full-on party when the sun goes down but they’re still sticking to their roots other times of the day — focusing on burgers, wings, tacos, micheladas, and introducing a trendy Brunch Menu. The menu has yet to be posted, but stop by during the Grand Opening to see it for yourself or, in the meantime, take a gander at the 29th street location’s menu.
“We’ve spent a lot of time designing and remodeling this place,” said Manuel Cordova, co-owner of The Neighborhood. “We’re aiming to produce something unique to Downtown.”
Sure, the new location is like a mullet, but it’s even more like an onion — it has multiple layers, that is. One level is a restaurant, the other level is a bar, and then a lounge has its own designated area, too.
One of these levels happens to be on the rooftop and it tends to be quite the party in the evenings.
“We are bringing a place full of energy where you can come for a quick lunch, watch a game, celebrate a birthday, grab a cold one, or enjoy our vibrant nightlife on the weekends,” said Cordova.
The hours of operation will be 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Sunday – Thursday and 11 a.m. – 2 a.m. on Friday – Saturday. Also, don’t forget they’ll be handing out free burgers from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 3.
