In collaboration with the Japanese Association of Tucson, Snow Peas Modern Asian Kitchen is hosting Japanese social month. You can swing by every Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to learn how to play the Japanese card game Hanafuda and imbibe on dishes not previously available at Snow Peas, such as gyoza and tonkotsu ramen.
Available from when they open at 10:30 a.m. until they sell out, the tonkotsu ramen features broth boiled for over 14 hours, slices of chashu, naruto, bean sprouts, chashu black garlic tare, and a seven-minute boiled egg. Owner and Chef Erik Duong learned the traditional recipe with help from the Japanese Association of Tucson.
Other unique items such as cold ramen or Japanese curry might make an appearance for the day.
