With Crooked Tooth Brewing Co. less than a year old and Anello scheduled to open within the next few weeks, the Warehouse Arts District just off Fourth Avenue has been blooming nicely.
Just a few feet away, The Royal Room is joining the fray in the historic brick warehouse at 450 N. 6th Ave. that previously housed an office for PSA Art Awakenings.
“The idea of The Royal Room is to offer a comfortable, friendly neighborhood wine and beer bar,” said Ian Stupar, owner of The Royal Room. “We will be having a larger emphasis on the wine side of things than the beer, but will also be paying plenty of consideration to that as well.”
Beer and wine will come from around the world, but include local offerings alongside a few staples such as “Guinness and a nice merlot,” Stupar said. Flights will be available for both beer and wine. Iced tea and coffee will be available as non-alcoholic options.
Food offerings include a small assortment of sandwiches, salads, bruschetta, toasts, charcuterie, and cheese offerings. Food will be served until close.
The tentative opening is scheduled for the end of September. Operating hours will be during lunch and dinner with late nights on weekends.
“Our goal is to create a friendly and inviting environment for people to enjoy our offerings at an affordable price,” Stupar said.
The Royal Room, scheduled to open late September, will be located at 450 N. 6th Ave. Keep up with The Royal Room on Instagram.
