Greater Arizona Bicycling Association and Ten55 Brewing and Sausage House have come together to host the first Tucson Gran Fondo from 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 10.
Similar to the first Gran Fondo — or “Big Ride” — originating in Italy back in 1970 and now hosted worldwide, the Tucson Gran Fondo was created to bring cyclists and the local community together, to celebrate the sport and to showcase the re-birth of downtown Tucson.
All riders during the non-competitive event can catch a glimpse of Tucson beauty on one of the three courses. There’s going to be the 74 mile “Gran”, 50 mile “Medio,” or the 29 mile “Piccolo.”
Choose your route wisely and head over to bikegaba.org to register.
Here’s the best part: all the beer, brats, and live music you can handle at the finish line.
It’s going to be free to get in and all food and beer will be available to purchase. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the American Diabetes Association – Arizona.
Ten55 Brewing and Sausage House is located at 110 E. Congress St. For more information, visit Ten55 Brewing and Sausage House’s Facebook event page.
