Monsoon Chocolate recently added three savory galettes to their summer menu.

For an elegant-yet-rustic brunch, consider the galette.

The beautiful free-form pastry resembles two of America’s favorite foods: pizza and pie. Available both sweet or savory, the possibilities for fillings are endless.

Local chocolate factory and cafe Monsoon Chocolate recently added three savory galettes to their summer menu:

  • Heritage Pork & Black Garlic Mole ($8) – potato and cotija in phyllo dough
  • Cauliflower & Goat Cheese ($6) – butternut squash, turnips, pine nuts, and mint in phyllo dough
  • Potato & Leek ($6) – preserved lemon and za’atar in phyllo dough

While mimosas aren’t on the Monsoon Chocolate menu, that’s fine — delve into their chocolate beverages. Cool off with the Frocho ($5), a frozen chocolate granita with coconut cream and cocoa nibs.
