Downtown poke restaurant PokeZone announced plans to rebrand as Mo’s Burger & Poke Bar.

PokeZone posted the announcement on Facebook Wednesday morning:

At PokeZone we believe something is missing in our concept for our downtown demographic. Our loyal customers have provided us with great feedback to expand our menu to incorporate more variety. Don’t worry poke lovers we are still going to be a poke bar but we are excited to expand and add burgers, loaded fries, and flatbreads! All options will continue to be fully customizable utilizing any protein, sauce, or toppings!

Lastly, our expansion of the menu will lead to a re-brand and changing of our name. We are extremely honored to change our name to Mo’s burger and poke bar! Mo has been a father figure to both partners and his goal was to always satisfy the needs of downtown by serving juicy burgers or lighter options like poke! Unfortunately we lost Mo few days ago. We would like to honor his memory by introducing our new logo and menu to the public.

Mo was the father of Mobeen Moslem, partner at Mo’s Burger & Poke Bar.

“We would get a party of four where two people love poke, but the other two didn’t,” Moslem said. “I’m just trying to get more cooked options for them.”

The burgers and loaded fries joined the menu Tuesday. Flatbreads are expected to be on the menu by June 10.

Customers can customize their orders with the toppings from the poke bar; avocado, bacon, Hot Cheetos, crab mix, and spicy crab mix are $1 extra; all other add-ons are included in the base price.

Burgers feature third-pound Angus patties and start at $7.50. Regular fries are $3. Custom fries start at $5. Poke fries start at $6.

Mo’s Burger & Poke Bar Expanded Menu Highlights

  • Loaded Fries ($6) – melted cheese, jalapeno, bacon, ranch,
  • Fire Fries ($5) – melted cheese, jalapeños, Hot Cheetos, spicy mayo
  • Mushroom Swiss Burger ($7.50) – mushrooms, Swiss cheese, eel sauce
  • Fiery Burger ($8.50) – spicy mayo, jalapeños, Hot Cheetos

Additionally, the restaurant is building a patio and expanding their liquor license outside. Furthermore, they’re adding a couple TVs outside and adding two garage doors to open the front.
