The Blacktop Grill, which is often parked outside of breweries and taprooms, is opening a brick-and-mortar restaurant at 8300 N. Thornydale Rd., Suite 120.
The location previously housed Mama’s Hawaiian Bar-B-Cue and they’re shooting to be up and running by mid-September with the familiar dishes served by the food truck.
In addition, more patio seating is in the works and they’ve obtained a liquor license, meaning they’ll be serving craft beer, wine, and possibly other beverages options, too.
The food truck is known for serving gigantic, quarter-pound hot dogs and their Elotero Dog lives up to the hype. It’s topped with fire-roasted corn, that’s been tossed in a house-made chipotle lime sauce, queso cotija, and a garlic sriracha spice.
