La Chingada Cocina Mexicana, which is the sister company of The Neighborhood, has opened its downtown doors at 31 N. Scott Ave.

The new restaurant has taken over the spot that was previously occupied by Alejandro’s Cafe, which is right next door to the bistro, 47 Scott.

At the moment, La Chingada Cocina Mexicana is offering both takeout and dine-in — a great option to get things rollin’ — and they’re open daily for brunch from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and will serve dinner exclusively from 5 – 9 p.m. on Fridays.

The menu features brunch items, like Chilaquiles Divorciados and Chicken Tortilla Soup, a pair of enchiladas to sink your teeth in, a street taco menu that comes in threes of either Camaron Capeado, Birria de Res, Avocado Chickpea, and Chicken Tinga, and a tasteful dessert combo to choose from — Flan or Churro Cheesecake.
