“Taco Tuesday in Tucson” is a column where we explore the unique taco stands throughout Tucson… on Tuesdays.
Owners of The Neighborhood opened up the new concept La Chingada Cocina Mexicana in 2021 and then most recently they’ve added another restaurant to the neighborhood, so to speak.
Cruda Mariscos & Oyster Bar opened its doors in the former La Chingado spot at 31 N. Scott Ave. — La Chingada has since moved to the former Cafe Poca Cosa location around the corner at 110 E. Pennington St.
Since its opening, the restaurant has been delivering its ocean vibes and Baja California cuisine to downtown Tucson.
Let’s talk about their tacos, though. One, in particular, are the Tacos Gobernador, which involves crispy grilled corn tortillas sandwiched with melted cheese. Then, you’ve got the option to fill it with either marlin, manta, or a combo of shrimp and scallops.
Cruda Mariscos & Oyster Bar is open 3 – 8 p.m. on Monday – Thursday, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Let’s take a step back to the earlier mention of The Neighborhood adding more restaurants to its culinary neighborhood. The bar is opening a new location at 61 E. Congress St., which used to be The Aquadec nightclub. Keep an eye out for that one since there isn’t an exact opening date just yet.
Cruda Mariscos & Oyster Bar is located at 31 N. Scott Ave. For more information, visit crudamariscos.com or call (520) 207 0589.
