A spot that previously housed Boulevard BBQ & Fixins has been vacant for a few months but is now filled with the aroma of salsa, carne asada, and tortillas.

Toro Loco Tacos y Burros, which was originally located at 7940 E. Broadway Blvd., recently opened its doors at 5737 E. Speedway Blvd.

For those not familiar with the taco and burrito shop, it’s a concept from the minds of Travis and William Miller, who own Serial Grillers, Craft A Modern Drinkery, and Transplant Pizza.

Boulevard BBQ & Fixins was another one of the brothers’ ventures but its doors were permanently closed in September 2021.

In 2019, Toro Loco Tacos Y Burros got its start and greeted hungry Tucsonans with its craft tacos, french fry-stuffed burritos, Street Corn, and now even with some specialty items such as the Barbacoa Ramen.

The ramen comes with a housemade broth, egg noodles, barbacoa, green cabbage, cilantro, onion, and a lime wedge posing as the cherry on top.

The new location is open daily from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Toro Loco is located at 7940 E. Broadway Blvd. For more information, call (520) 849-8160 or visit torolocotacos.com.
