Sleigh the holiday cooking this year!

If the snow-dusted mountains and twinkling lights around town are any indications, it’s time to start planning your Christmas Eve and Christmas Day feasts.

Treat your ‘elf to a day free of cooking with these take-home and dine-in options. You’ll find the likes of Chinese feasts, upscale dinners, brunch banquets, and classic cuisine.

Pay close attention to the dates because some of these dinners are happening before others. Also, we’ll be updating this list as we get closer to Christmas Day.

Join Tucson Foodie at Maynards for a special Christmas dinner featuring Chef and artist Feng-Feng Yeh (the brainchild behind the Chinese Chorizo Festival) and local Indigenous chef Rusty Ramirez. 

The dinner will be focused on chiltepin’s native culinary heritage to the Southwest while exploring how it can be utilized to evoke Chinese cuisine. This union of Indigenous and Chinese cuisine will tell an intersecting story of the resilience of the peoples of Tucson.

Christmas Brunch at The Canyon Club

Christmas Carryout at Feast

With carryout from Feast, it’ll look like you had a chef-catered meal. The Christmas carryout menu looks most impressive:

  • Duck Terrine with Pistachios and dried cranberries, $20/ half-pound (serves up to six as an appetizer)
  • Whole baby brie with cranberry-apple chutney wrapped in puff pastry, $20
  • Roasted Beets, walnuts, grapes, rosemary, and Bleu cheese, $7/half-pint   $11/pint
  • Mashed Potatoes, $6/half-pint or $10/pint
  • Green beans with garlic and almonds, $5.00/serving
  • Pear and chestnut stuffing, $6.50/half-pint or $12/pint
  • Single goose breast, brined, roasted, and sliced served with kumquat glaze, $38
  • Confit of goose leg and thigh, on the bone, served with kumquat glaze, $38
  • Individual Beef Wellington with truffled liver mousse and mushroom duxelles, wrapped in puff pastry.  One entrĂ©e serving, $36
  • Gingerbread cake with orange cream cheese frosting and candied pistachios, $7/slice or $46/whole cake

Christmas Day Buffet at Hacienda del Sol

Christmas in the Desert

Join the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum for a delectable desert feast celebrating the holiday season! There are three reservation times available: 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.

 The Hilton El Conquistador is putting together a wonderful spread for Christmas. This year there’ll even be a make-your-own cookie station. At the end of the brunch, Santa will read a book to all attendees.

Govindas Natural Foods Buffet

Govinda’s will be serving up a deliciously vegan Christmas day menu. They’ll have wheat-free items and if their Thanksgiving menu is any indication, this will be a hit! As long as the weather permits, there’ll be music on the patio to enjoy as you dine out.
