October 3, 2023
By Matt Sterner

Fresh off of its 40th-anniversary extravaganza, Casa Video & Film Bar is comin’ in hot when it comes to all things Halloween. Throughout October, the video rental store/craft beer and wine taproom is hosting one event every single day — spooky, Halloween-related events, of course.

Sure, we’re already a few days in but there’s still a lot more to partake in from now until Tuesday, October 31. For example, they’re ending the month with another Halloween-themed trivia night, there are 10 days of Alfred Hitchcock films, and double features on Mondays. Coming up on Monday, October 16, they have “The Munsters” (2022) and “The Addams Family” (1991) lined up.

Also, just about every night side from Mondays, Casa Video has a food truck parked out in front. This month, expect to see Taco Stop paired with “The Little Shop of Horrors,” Muncheez with “Practical Magic,” and Birrieria Las Chicas when “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” is lighting up the screens with its hilarious practical effects and cotton candy cocoons.

Oh, and there will also be at least one costume contest held at Casa Video, so stay tuned for that announcement. In the meantime, here is the current lineup of events.

We’ll keep updating the list as the month of October creeps on.
