Roadrunner Coffee is Now Open in Downtown Tucson

March 25, 2024
By Matt Sterner

On Monday, March 25, the Roadrunner Coffee Co. team opened the doors to their newest spot located at 50 W. Congress St.

If you need some guidance, the new spot is nestled between Perche’ No and JA Ramen in downtown Tucson near the corner of Congress Street and Church Avenue.

The menu is just like the other locations in Tucson, too, loaded with locally roasted hand-crafted coffee drinks, energy drinks, and more. I feel like I got a caffeine buzz just writing that last sentence. Additionally, they’ll have locally baked pastries and breakfast items to get your motors runnin’.

“Our amazing general manager Darian lives downtown and he’s always spoken about how great the vibe is down there,” said Darren Mills of Roadrunner Coffee Co. “The art, murals, restaurants, hotels, architecture, history, and culture all come together to create a great atmosphere that we’re proud to be a part of.”

Roadrunner Coffee has been on a tear these days when it comes to expanding into new areas around town.

In 2008, the very first Roadrunner Coffee shop opened on the northwest side of town, serving hand-crafted espresso and coffee drinks, smoothies, Italian sodas, sandwiches, and pastries. In 2021, the crew leaped and opened up its first drive-thru stand for those on the run, and then another drive-thru opened in November 2023 on Alvernon Way.

Roadrunner Coffee locations: 50 W. Congress St., 9665 N. Thornydale Rd. #110, 1545 W. Wetmore Rd. (drive-thru only), and 1612 N. Alvernon Rd. (drive-thru only). For more information, visit roadrunnercoffeeco.com and follow Roadrunner Coffee Co. on Instagram and Facebook.
