Star Wars Day (AKA May the Fourth) is the annual celebration of George Lucas’ Star Wars films, but you won’t need to travel to the dimly-lit Mos Eisley Cantina on Tatooine to get a good drink. This year, a few local restaurants and bars are teaming up on the holiday to bring you Star Wars deals and space-themed parties on Saturday, May 4.
So, whether you’re an Ewok, a Wookiee, or just really, really hungry, you can expect to find themed environments, trivia, prizes, drink specials, and more.
Heads up! This event is happening earlier than May the Fourth on Thursday, May 2.
“Celebrating May the Fourth Be With You a little early for our Bingo Night on Thursday. We will go for a few rounds with prizes each time. Dress up in your best Star Wars fit and join us for some brews, food, and fun! Bingo will kick off at 6 p.m., food ‘til 7 p.m., and beers ‘til 8 p.m.”
Okay, it’s not necessarily a Star Wars-themed event but you dress up like a Wookie that’ll change things up a bit. Bust out some Yoda ears and slam some beers (beer samples).
For the eighth year, the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild presents the Baja Beer Festival — a tribute to Arizona’s craft beer excellence. This year’s sudsy event is taking place from 1 – 4:30 p.m. (VIP entry is at noon) on Saturday, May 4 at Armory Park, 222 S. Fifth Ave.
