Prep & Pastry Makes Yelp’s List of ‘Top 100 Brunch Spots’ in 2024

Yelp just announced its 2024 list of “Top 100 Brunch Spots” in the U.S. and Tucson’s beloved Prep & Pastry is getting some love, coming in at #90.

“Brunch is the perfect meal — relaxed, affordable, and almost always a special occasion,” Yelp shared. “It’s a great way to meet friends, go on a day date, or celebrate holidays like Mother’s Day. And this year, Yelpers have found all the best spots to enjoy America’s most popular mealtime.”

Nathan Ares opened Prep & Pastry back in 2014. There are two locations here in Tucson (6450 E. Grant Rd. #160 and 2660 N. Campbell Ave.) and two others up north (in Scottsdale and Gilbert).

The restaurant has been keeping things fresh over the years. Just this past March, Prep & Pastry rolled out a new menu featuring brand-new lunch items, mix-and-match deals, and Early Bird Specials.

Plus, Ares operates Flora’s Market Run at 2513 E. Sixth St. and Commoner & Co. at 6960 E. Sunrise Dr., which are all under his restaurant group, Ares Collective.

Hey, this national spotlight comes just in time for Mother’s Day, too!

Keep in mind that for many restaurants like Prep & Pastry, Mother’s Day is their busiest day of the year — some Yelp data confirms that. In 2023, Yelp recorded a 79% surge in Mother’s Day reservations compared to the Sunday prior. Yelp also saw an 86% increase in the number of diners adding themselves to the Yelp Waitlist on Mother’s Day, compared to the Sunday prior.

In short, make a reservation if possible. Mom will thank you later.

Prep & Pastry is located at 2660 N. Campbell Ave. and 6450 E. Grant Rd. #160. For more information, visit prepandpastry.com. To view all of the Top 100 Brunch Spots according to Yelp, visit yelp.com.
