Get a First Taste of Tucson’s New Brewery, Slow Body Beer Co.

There’s always room for another brewery in Tucson!

We have inventive IPAs from Pueblo Vida Brewing, unique sours from Crooked Tooth Brewing, Harbottle Brewing, and 1912 Brewing, a powerhouse team brewing at Borderlands Brewing, Button Brew House and Catalina Brewing are shining bright in Marana, Iron John’s Brewing has a whole new pizza lineup, and Copper Mine Brewing and BlackRock Brewers are always worth the drive.

This is just to name a few (I don’t want to bury the lede). Check out our interactive guide to Tucson’s breweries.

The newest addition to Tucson is Slow Body Beer Co. over at 831 E. 17th St., which has yet to set a Grand Opening date but is unveiling a few beers at Tap & Bottle Downtown. It’s a sudsy sneak peek and you’re invited on Saturday, June 8 beginning at 5 p.m.

The lager-based brewery will have three beers available at the preview party:

  • Kind Beer – a flagship pale ale
  • Body Double – porter
  • Thank You – pale ale with Nelson and Citra hops

Additionally, Ukies will be set up outside, serving its wonderful Ukrainian delights.

Taproom Coming Soon

Slow Body Beer’s taproom and brewery, which is right around the corner from Barrio Brewing, a short walk away from MotoSonora Brewing, and right next to the former 17th Street Market, is still under construction.

The team is getting close to opening, though — stay tuned for updates.

In the past few months, we’ve been graced with a few sneak peeks of the space — lots of greenery, the can art has been revealed, and brewery merch has been made.

All that’s left is to taste the beer!

Head down to Tap & Bottle’s downtown location on Saturday, June 8 at 5 p.m.

Tap & Bottle Downtown is located at 403 N. Sixth Ave. For more information about Slow Body Beer Co., which is set to open this summer at 831 E. 17th St., follow the brewery on Instagram.
