Tucson is rich with outdoor markets, much like this past weekend’s Oro Valley Fall Foodie & Art Festival and the quarterly Vegan Night Market. Now, there’s a first-of-its-kind happening in the city — a market celebrating Filipino talent and culture!
From 5 – 9 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, head over to 311 E. Seventh St. for Sabor ng Bayan.
The event, which is taking place at the Fourth Avenue Coalition Space, is hosted by Filipino baker/chef Ate Kei’s Filipino Treats and sponsored by Tucson Foodie and This is Tucson.
“Kaibigans! We are so stoked,” Kei Ann Mandanas shared.
“All vendors are local and most are Filipinos. We will also have a few vendors from our community that are showcasing ingredients from the Philippines in their products.”
The event is also free to attend.
So, there will be plenty of Filipino food to munch on (including vegan options) and local crafts to purchase. Plus, expect live music and raffle prizes.
Sabor ng Bayan is happening at 311 E. Seventh St. For more information, follow Ate Kei’s Filipino Treats on Instagram.
