Tough Luck Club (TLC) is ringing in its 10th anniversary on New Year’s Eve.
For a decade, the rules at the basement bar have been simple to follow: Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it, be nice to each other, and tip your bartenders.
From 6 p.m. – 1 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, stop by the downstairs bar beneath Reilly Craft Pizza and Drink at 101 E. Pennington St.
Congratulate the team on 10 years while sipping on something new or on a go-to craft cocktail. There will be a new “Greatest Hits” cocktail menu — 13 of their best/favorite cocktails in TLC’s history.
“We didn’t want to cosplay as fancy, vest-wearing, post-prohibition reactors, making drinks we couldn’t afford in a space that looked like some Imagineers pulled it straight from a film set or a history book. Not that there is anything wrong with that; it just wasn’t Tucson, and it wasn’t us.”
They also have $8 classic cocktails on the menu, like the Bee’s Knees, Old Fashioned, and Moscow Mule, they still have The Special for $5 — a can of Coors Banquet and a shot of mellow corn whiskey.
“We have done our best to be a great place to work, a fun place to come and to give back to our community. We wanted to do it ourselves, and we did.”
