Father’s Day 2026: Food, Music & More for Dad in Tucson

Jun 17, 20266 min read

Save the grilling for another day. This Father’s Day brings special dishes, rum punch, and meal deals big enough to feed the whole family.

Father’s Day falls on Sunday, June 21, this year, and Tucson restaurants are rolling out brunch buffets, whiskey pairings, and steak specials to match. Reservations fill up fast at several spots, so call ahead or book online before the big day.

Is your dad hard to shop for? Does he have everything he could possibly need, including all your love? If you’re looking for a gift that just keeps giving, might we suggest a Tucson Foodie membership? It’s all that and a bag of chips.

Keep in mind that we’ll be adding to the list each day leading up to Dad’s big day, so check it occasionally if you haven’t found the perfect meal for your parent.

Mojo Cuban Kitchen and Rum Bar

1929 E. Grant Rd.

10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday, June 21

Mojo’s Father’s Day brunch brings a complimentary rum punch for Dad alongside two standout specials. The Bistec y Huevos pairs Mojo marinated skirt steak with two fried eggs and plantain hash, while the Bacon Rumcakes layer rum-infused coconut pancakes with crispy bacon, toasted coconut, coconut rum sauce, and whipped cream. The regular menu stays available all day, and reservations are recommended.

The Parish

6453 N. Oracle Rd.

Sunday, June 21

The Parish goes all in on Southern comfort for Dad with oak-smoked, Southern-style sarsaparilla BBQ pork ribs, smoked gouda fried mac and cheese, and well-seasoned corn on the cob. At the bar, order “The D.A.D.,” a shot of Whiskey Del Bac paired with a choice of Dragoon IPA or Abita Amber, for $13, or stick with a classic Old Fashioned for $9.

Whiskey Del Bac

2106 N. Forbes Blvd., Ste. 103

  • A hands-on blending course runs at 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, at the Tucson distillery for $100. Guests analyze six distinct barrels and blend their own unique 375 mL bottle to take home.
  • A pairing dinner at Cielos at Lodge on the Desert starts at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, for $99. The four-course meal includes French onion and wild mushroom soup, a Cielos house salad, smoked brisket, and bourbon peach cobbler, each paired with whiskey tastings and cocktails. For something sweeter, the Iced Banana Split Breve for $7 combines two shots of Arbuckle’s espresso with banana, hazelnut, and vanilla syrups, half-and-half, chocolate drizzle, whipped cream, and a Bordeaux cherry.

On the brunch side, the Chicken & Waffles for $18 pairs Belgian waffles with crispy chicken and hot honey, and the Grilled Flank Steak Skillet for $17 brings roasted sweet peppers, caramelized onions, provolone, and rosemary breakfast potatoes, topped with two eggs any style and served with multigrain toast.

More about Matt

At a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.

He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.

If you’re in the mood for strange stories, head over to his pride and joy, wonkytimes.com. And in case you’re curious — yes, after all of this time, he still manages to roll a killer burrito.
