The vibrant tradition of Dia de Los Muertos is upon us, and what better way to honor our dearly departed than to celebrate life, culture, and charity at the second annual Day of The Bread event. Join us at The Monica on November 2, for an evening filled with craft bread, creative activities, and heartwarming contributions to the Tucson community.
For just $50 per ticket, you’ll gain admission to the event along with three complimentary drink tickets, and access to recipe tastings and bread samples from some of Tucson’s top bakers. Attendees will also get to enjoy live music, try their hand at calavera (skull) face painting, various games, and crafts. They’ll also have a chance to purchase whole loaves of bread on site, perfect for your own at-home celebration of life and the memories of your loved ones.
Sharing Your Memories
One of the most touching aspects of the event is the Dia de Los Muertos & Day of The Bread Altar. Event-goers are invited to bring a photo or keepsake of someone’s life you’d like to celebrate and leave it at the altar. It’s a beautiful way to remember and honor those who’ve touched our hearts.
Giving Back
While Day of The Bread promises an evening of communing and exploring locally-made bread-based delicacies, it’s also an event with a heart. A portion of every ticket sold, as well as a percentage of all sales, will be donated to Tucson’s Tu Nidito, a local nonprofit on a mission to provide grieving children with a community of acceptance and understanding during their time of need.
