They say if you give someone a fish, it’ll feed them for a day. Teach them how to fish, fillet, and cook, and they’ll make fish tacos for life.
The Arizona Game and Fish Department and Seis Kitchen are hosting a free sustainable fishing event from 8 a.m. – noon on Saturday, April 22 at Silverbell Lake.
Staff from the AZGFD’s Tucson office and Sport Fishing Education Program will provide angling tips with the help of certified angler volunteer instructors.
To make it even easier, no license is required and the channel will be stocked with catfish. Bait will be provided as well. Loaner rods are also available, but feel free to bring your own.
Additionally, an AZGFD expert will provide demonstrations on how to properly handle, euthanize, clean, and fillet fish.
Finally, Seis will be hosting fish cooking demonstrations at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
For more information, contact the AZGFD Sport Fishing Education Program at (623) 236-7240 or visit azgfd.com.
