Brooklyn-born poetry PhD turned Tucsonan writer Edie Jarolim is hosting a launch party for her new book Getting Naked for Money at the Carriage House 5 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2.
The memoir Getting Naked for Money chronicles Jarolim’s journeys as a travel journalist ranging from locales such as Las Vegas to Egypt and Easter Island.
The event will feature wine, soft drinks, chips, and dips.
Arugula salad and rugelach will also be provided by the soon-to-open aka Deli & Bakeshop. While the leafy green and Jewish pastry may seem arbitrary, they’re a throwback to Jarolim’s first ever experience with a foodie. “Arugula” was said, but Jarolim heard “a rugelach.”
Jarolim will read excerpts of such stories from the memoir at 6 p.m. while guests will be able to purchase copies.
