Chiles, chocolate, and chemistry are on the menu for round two in the three-part dinner series.
Tohono Chul Garden Bistro is hosting another “Grange Within Range” at 5:30 p.m., Friday, October 27.
If you’re not familiar with Tohono Chul, the park encompasses 49 acres featuring a number of unique gardens and desert life. Some of the ingredients Garden Bistro uses are grown on the property.
This second addition of the three-part dinner series features chiles and chocolate flavor profiles from local purveyors in a 75-mile radius.
Cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 p.m, so grab a drink and appetizers before the big dinner kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $75 per person, and it’s always a good idea to snag them ahead of time to reserve your spot.

First Course
- Goat Cheese Marshmallow – dark chocolate dust and gournay cheez-it
- Buckalew Corn and Oddballz Farms Chicken Rolled Taco – with lemon basil cremoso
- I’itoi Confit – San Xavier cholla tea and torn pepita bread

Second Course
- Pumpking and Dumplings – local potato chochoyotes, grilled Buckalew Farms pumpkin, white sage and chocolate, pistachio brown butter
Third Course
- Fire Braised Pork Belly – Walking J pork belly, Ramona Farms tepary bean, ancho broth and aromatics dried corn vinaigrette
Fourth Course
- Braised Beef and Hand Rolled Noodles – coco rubbed beef cheek, cascabel fideo, heirloom tomato, carrot soubise
Fifth Course
- Nitro Sorbet and Juice – prickly pear and pasilla negra cryosphere, sweet basil and dried market apple, local raisin syrup
