Sushi doesn’t need an excuse to be eaten, but supporting a good cause certainly helps.
RA Sushi at La Encantada will host its 13th annual fundraiser Nicky’s Week from May 22 through May 28.
To raise funds, 100 percent of sales from Nicky’s Week menu items will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Nicky’s Week honors Nicholas “Nicky” Mailliard, a nephew of one of RA Sushi’s founders who lost his battle with pediatric cancer at age 13.
RA initiated the fundraiser to honor Nicky’s memory, and to raise awareness and funds for St. Jude. Since the launch of Nicky’s Week in 2005, RA has raised more than $2 million for St. Jude.
