Maynards Market & Kitchen is hosting a prix fixe dinner and stargazing event benefiting Time in Cosmology in their private dining room at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7.

The menu features their Bistro Salad and a choice of entree served with Maynards Private Label Wine: AZ RED Malbec Blend.

After the dinner, the patio will be arranged for stargazing with the U of A Astronomy Club.

The event is the result of Maynards partnering with the University of Arizona and Time in Cosmology for Space Week, celebrating the launch of the OSIRIS-REx asteroid mission.

Seats are $45 per person plus tax and gratuity.

To continue the cosmic celebration with spaceballs meatball appetizers, space cocktails, and family activities, head over to neighbor Hotel Congress at 6 – 10 p.m. on September 8 for the OSIRIS-REx Launch Party.

  • Bistro Salad – Scarlet butter lettuce, baby kale, bacon, soft-cooked egg, red onion, brioche crouton, herb vinaigrette
Choice of Entrée
  • Beer-Brined Chicken – Pueblo Vida Northwest IPA-brined chicken breast, house mustard and fig marmalade, braised red cabbage, shallots, extra virgin olive oil and thyme pommes puree
  • Prime Sirloin – 6 oz. Niman Ranch prime sirloin, bearnaise sauce, red wine caramelized onions, pommes frites, seasonal vegetable
  • Saffron Risotto – Braised leeks, sautéed greens, Parmigiano-Reggiano, shallot relish, beet chips

Weekend brunch at @losmilicsvineyards🌞

Los Milics Vineyards Tucson is now serving brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-4pm at its downtown Tucson tasting room, with dinner continuing from 4-9pm. 

The brunch menu is built to pair with Los Milics’ estate-grown Sonoita wines, plus curated flights, cocktails, and local beer. Expect house-made focaccia, charcuterie, fried halloumi, salads, eggs in purgatory, breakfast burritos, a K4 Ranch burger, a Bourdain sandwich, a confit BLT, and plenty of sweet options.

There are also vegan choices, including avocado toast and focaccia French toast, plus dairy-free oat milk gelato.

@Casaveratucson opens Aug. 12 at 7265 N. La Cholla Blvd., bringing regional Mexican cuisine to the former Tamarind space.

The 7,000-square-foot restaurant seats 200 guests with a large patio, and the design draws inspiration from a warm, old-world hacienda. The family behind Casa Vera is also known locally for Guadalajara Original Grill.

Casa Vera will be open daily from 3-9 p.m. Reservations are available through @opentable or by emailing reservations@casaveratucson.com.
