New Mexico diner Poco & Mom’s quietly closed its location at 1060 S. Kolb Rd. early June after a 20-year run.
Most of the employees will transfer to Poco & Mom’s Cantina at 7000 E. Tanque Verde Rd., their website said.
Although the original Poco & Mom’s is now gone, another breakfast spot, Sonoran Brunch Company, is already in the process of taking over.
“Poco & Moms had a good run and was one of our favorite places and we are excited to have the opportunity to carry on that tradition of serving homegrown food at this location,” said Kenny King, who will run Sonoran Brunch Company with his family.
King was previously the general manager and executive chef at Fini’s Landing.
“Right now we are shooting for August 1, but that could get pushed back slightly,” King said.
This is a developing story. Stay tuned for more information.
